Privacy policy

Audio Files Prep is designed to work without collecting personal data. The data controller for this website is Grelot Productions (contact details above).

Your audio files

Your files are never uploaded. All renaming, analysis, trimming and loudness processing runs locally in your browser. The website only accesses the folders or files you explicitly select, through your browser’s permission prompt, and only to read and modify them on your own device.

No account, no tracking

There is no sign-up, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies. Fonts and libraries are served from our own server: your browser makes no request to third-party services when you use the site.

Data stored on your device

To remember your preferences between visits, the site stores the following in your browser (local storage and IndexedDB): your categories and naming options, your audio processing settings, your light/dark theme choice, and the folders you chose to save. This data stays on your device, is never sent to us and is strictly necessary for features you use. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider (OVH) may record standard technical logs when the page is loaded, such as IP address, date and time, and the page requested. These logs are used only for security and the proper operation of the service, on the basis of legitimate interest, and are kept for a limited period.

Contacting us by email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. They are not shared with third parties and are deleted once no longer needed.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, email contact@audiofilesprep.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Terms of use

Service

Audio Files Prep is a free tool that renames, trims and normalizes audio files on your own computer. Using the site implies acceptance of these terms. We may change or discontinue the service at any time.

Your responsibility

The tool modifies files on your device at your request: renames are applied immediately and audio processing rewrites the selected files. Always work on a copy or keep a backup of important files. The “Keep a copy of the originals” option helps, but does not replace a backup. You confirm that you have the right to modify the files you process.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, including as to accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Grelot Productions shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from the use of the tool, including loss or alteration of files.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably falls under the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules.
